What a LONG but FUN day!
We went to church on Saturday night so we could just relax all morning on Sunday to prepare. Rowan took a LONG 3 hour nap in the morning. Liam skipped a nap, but was very happy anyway.
And at 1:45 we were off!
First stop was Willow Bend Country in Plano to a party at Rick's boss's house. WOW! It was amazing! Tents outside, face painting and lots of games for kids, tons of food and drinks, a dj, huge tvs, and loads of people. Rowan did great, but I do think it was a bit overwhelming for her.
It was bit chilly in the tent!
But this was her adorable outfit! We had to cut slits in the arms of the dress because it was too tight on her chubbers!! ha! yep, it was a 9 month outfit! She is 4 months today! ;)
Liam got his face painted...he was an angel. He kept trying to kiss the mirror when she showed him...it was so cute!
Snack time as a tiger! ;)
Of course there was a clue in the tent! ;)
Daddy and Rowan!
Looking at fishies in the house before we left!
Rowan passed out on my shoulder as we headed out the door around 4 o'clock. We stopped home real quick to change diapers, pick up the wine and dip for the next party, I needed to pump (probably TMI) and we were back out the door at 4:45. Of course Rowan woke up while we were home and wanted no parts of getting back in her carseat so she screamed the whole way to the Andersons...yikes! She is doing much better in there, but just wanted no parts of it after a long morning.
I am sad to say, I forgot to take pictures at the second party but we did have an amazing time. The Andersons' new house is beautiful and there was tons of space for the kids to get into trouble! ;) Liam was so flushed from running and playing with Emmie, Piper and his new crush Kate. He was again, very well behaved. :-)
We left at halftime and Rick and I were pretty exhausted when we got home from passing kids back and forth and taking turns feeding and watching them all while making sure Liam was playing nice. Rowan fell asleep on the way home and did not wake up til 4 am...do not think she even knew we transferred her from her carseat to her crib...great day! Just love the weekends and especially special event days with friends and family!
